Dental Implants: A Permanent Solution To Tooth Loss

Treatment suite where patients getting dental implants can see x-rays to know exactly the procedure they are going to go through at Anchorage Midtown Dental.Anchorage Midtown Dental Center is your dental implant headquarters! If you are missing teeth and would like to know if you are a good candidate for dental implants, we offer free CT scans and consultations to determine if dental implants could transform your smile.

During the consultation phase, our Anchorage dental implant dentists will explore a variety of different systems designed for completely personalized results. Dental implants can be the ideal permanent solution for patients who are missing one or more teeth or are tired of their traditional dentures causing discomfort and slipping.

Are Dental Implants Right For Your Smile?

If you are missing one or more teeth, chances are you are a great candidate for dental implants. Whether you've lost your teeth due to an injury, widespread decay, or an illness, our team recognizes the importance of offering natural-looking, permanent solutions.

It is always our goal at Anchorage Midtown Dental Center to preserve the natural state of your mouth. When we cannot save your tooth or your tooth is already missing, dental implants can preserve bone and facial contours, prevent the shaving down of natural teeth, and restore the look and function of natural teeth better than bridges or removable options.

How Do Dental Implants Work?

Dental implants are known far and wide as being the very best tooth replacement system available today. Dental implants, also known as tooth implants, are titanium posts implanted in your jaw that act as artificial “tooth roots”, permanently anchoring your new tooth, bridge, or denture. Each implant is topped with a dental crown, providing a chewing surface and restoring the appearance of the missing tooth.

The procedure and healing phase are relatively painless and dental implants can be an excellent and predictable long-term solution for patients suffering from tooth loss. Our practice has plenty of experience - and experience matters when it comes to the success of your dental implants!

State-Of-The-Art Dental Implant Placement

At Anchorage Midtown Dental Center, our success rate is excellent and we do fantastic, conservative implant work - from replacing single teeth to replacing multiple ones with completely implant-supported bridges and dentures.

Our digital and CT-guided workflow results in the correct placement of your implant with optimal aesthetics from start to finish with little to no discomfort and faster healing times.

We perform the majority of our dental implant surgeries in-house at our convenient Midtown Anchorage location so you don't have to worry about being sent to another office or specialist and our in-house lab means quick turnaround times a better fit.

Even if you have been told you are not a candidate for dental implants by your dentist, our experienced providers can often make it work when others can’t, so don't hesitate to call us and schedule your dental implant consultation!

The Surgical Process

Each patient has a unique mouth and set of needs, but the procedure for dental implant placement generally takes about an hour for one implant and up to 3 hours for multiple implants. At Anchorage Midtown Dental Center, we offer a variety of sedation dentistry options for our patients including needle-free anesthesia and IV sedation.

After anesthesia has been applied, your dental implant surgeon will make a small incision in the gum tissue to reveal the bone and insert the implant. The length of healing time post-surgery varies for each patient. Following the first healing phase, our doctors will place a support post (also called an abutment) on the dental implant. Once it has been determined that your gum tissue has healed and your dental implants are ready to be completed, your dentist will finish the process by fitting a crown to your dental implant.
